Get well... gifts?

So, this person I have been seeing is a bit under the weather. She's been taking medication for these headaches and nosebleeds... Anyway, she's now taking something but still has to work dreadful hours. She worked already today at like 6AM to something and now has to go work at 12AM to something... The meds make you really tired too... The symptoms are not completely gone either, so she's getting bad headaches and is tired(because of the meds) and now has to work at 12AM?(A time when she is normally asleep I am sure) I think that would be rough.

So-, since I am going to see her tomorrow(Most likely) I was wondering what you all suggest as a get well type of gift/thing? I am showing compassion(right?)... It's new to me.

Ideas?

Pics of said person?

We need to see how hot she is to see if it's worth getting something expensive or not. 😉

Because this guy is a fucking idiot and doesn't know how to cook.

I might make something homemade, who knows.

This idea is very good, I do like it a lot. It is probably a lot better than any gift. (Besides maybe a instant cure for problem)

Don't show compassion.

This does not work in my experience.

I show none! Their identity shall remain anonymous.

Expensive is a tricky word, sir... I rather not go out and buy her a diamond ring, you know?

Dude, it isn't hard or expensive to make soup. Boil some water, throw in some chicken bouillon, add some vegetables and chicken, season it a bit, and you're done.

Yup.

If you are unsure of your cooking skills, you could buy some nice food and bring it to her. For example, there's a deli near me that has awesome soups, and many chain restaurants (Chillis, Applebees, etc) have "to-go" menus, as do some diners.

If a girl's sick with a cold, and you bring her flowers, she thinks, "oh, how nice, he was thinking of me". But if you bring her a couple of meals, or some nice soup, she thinks, "wow, he was thinking about what I need!". There's a big difference.

This is exactly what I was getting at. Bringing her a traditional gift like flowers says that you like her and might be just trying to get some. Bringing her food or soup when she's sick and busy says that you actually give a shit about her.

Would it be alright if I asked her what she wants? I don't really know what she likes. I personally am not a fan of almost any soup.(She could be similar, but I doubt that) So I rather show up with a food she is dying to have than something she is like, "eh, whatever."

Asking her is fine. Don't ask her, "can I get you anything to eat?" Say something like, "I'm picking up some meals for you, what do you really feel like eating?"
