This is my first time posting a hotdeal, please be gentle on me :)

Get up to 50,000 Continental OnePass miles when you open a business account at Chase. Open a new Chase Business Checking and Money Market account with at least $20,000 in combined balances now, and get 25,000 Continental Airlines OnePass miles. Open these accounts with just $10,000 more and get an additional 25,000 miles.

Fine prints:

To qualify, funds must be drawn from a source other than Chase. Combined average monthly balance of at least $20,000 with at least $1,000 in the Money Market account for 25,000 miles (combined average monthly balance of atleast $30,000 with at least $1,500 in the Money Market account for 50,000 miles) must be maintained for each of the first three calendar months after the month in which the accounts are opened. Miles will be awarded to 30-45 days after the end of the third calendar month. Miles will be awarded to an individual Continental OnePass account holder, not the business entity. Value of miles will be reported as interest on the Money Market account. Offers may be modified or canceled at anytime.

Basically, open a business account with 30k for 3 months and get 50k continental onepass miles.

Where is the info on this deal? Link?

I wonder what rate their money mkt pays and if part of that money can be in a CD.

I'm slowly going nuts with money at DLJ (Visor), E*Trade (Palm), Wingspan (bonus) etc.

I saw this deal on the NY Times. You can contact Chase directly regarding this promotion.

This could be a hot deal if you have the cash. You can also put the money in a 3 month CD. Here are the approx. costs assuming:
You can get 6.9 ann yield in your current acct.
You put the $30k in a Chase 3 mnt cd at 5.34% yield (from Chase)
The miles are valued at $250 interest income (from Chase)
Your combined tax rate is 35%

The 30K will earn you $336 after tax at 6.9%
The 30K will earn you $260 after tax at 5.34%
The miles will cost you $87 in int inc tax

The whole deal will cost approx $163

So for approx $163 you can get a round trip to europe, or to asia off-season

Hmm..I might look into this.

I have the funds to do this, but what will it end up costing me in lost investments?

That is, the $30K is earning interest elsewhere....

Hmmm...

I heard from a CSR, phone 1800CHASE24, choose option 4, and they will have the info. 8AM to 8PM EST. I phoned when they were not open, but the CSR from the personal accounts division stated she heard about the offer, but to phone the other department during business hours for info. I will also phone back later, and hopefully have more info.

Too bad you have to OWN a business, or setup an account for a business, to qualify.

Oh well....
