You can also do the following addition to your Window's hosts file:
Add these lines to your hosts file...

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 linkexchange.com
127.0.0.1 ad.linkexchange.com
127.0.0.1 banner.linkexchange.com
127.0.0.1 member.linkexchange.com

...do this for any other banner sites you want to nuke. For windows
the file is usually c:\windows\hosts, for unix/linux etc. it's
/etc/hosts, not sure about the Mac.

Works like a charm.

thank you all... i could really use this...hate those damn poppers...
oh yeah, that stupid X10...always pops up in weatherbug!!!!
😀

yeah baby

i gotta say..those chicks in the xcam ads are pretty hot..wish they had full portfolios of em or something.. or nevermind. yeah..KILL THOSE ADS..

I don't know if I want to download popup killer.

How am I supposed to play porn banner popup whack-a-mole? That is one of my favorite games.

Popup killers are stupid. They close popups only after they open. Also, some popup killers kill all popups unconditionally, without any settings whatsoever. Some popups are valuable to have. Killing all popups is stupid.

I recommend Proxomitron, the local web proxy with the only parsing engine in the industry fortified with regular expressions!

With Proxomitron, you can make an unbounded number of rules to recognize and modify HTML strings of any length on any webpage, or specific webpages. Using Proxomitron, you can get rid of banner ads, popup ads, text ads (as seen on google), annoying no-right-click scripts, annoying automatic reloads, annoying alert boxes, and anything that is part of a webpage that you do not like or wish to modify.

There is nothing like Proxomitron.
