It looks like the prosecution just played their cards wrong in this case.

The pornography case fell apart almost as quickly, as investigators admitted losing the computer seized from Karr in April 2001, when he was working as a substitute teacher in Sonoma and Napa counties. The computer allegedly held the illegal images.

The guy may be a sleezeball---but its still the way the justice system is supposed to work---it was not his DNA under Jon Benet's fingernails---the reason to arrest an extradite him in the first place---but actually the Colorado prosecutors acted fairly responsibly as the publicity blew this way out of proportion---and so he was arrested somewhere else by a publicity hound who had no case.

Lesson to be learned---don't try your case in the supermarket tabloids.---or too many people will get wrongly convicted.
