They were amazing in Tweed!

I got a blanket and my leather jacket and headed for the trampoline!

It was nice.. watched from 2:30-now!

Amzing in my area.. one of the highest points in, and the town is only 1800!

Its amazingly clear today too.

Yeah, I'm in Cupertino. I saw a bunch of them... I'm going back outside. I'm right near De Anza college, which is near 85 so it's full of light :(

Well, I just came in from the patio because my neck is killing me, plus I wasn't wearing any socks. Umm, and I was drinking beer. Brrrrr! :)

I was outside for 30mins and probably saw around 20 of them. A couple of them were super bright. They looked like roman candles being shot in the sky. The amazing part is that I live right downtown in Vancouver where the sky isn't even dark. Pretty cool.

Yeah, some of them were really bright. I just read somewhere they expected 10,000/hour.. that's around 3 a second :p

They look like fireworks that don't explode.

I watched for about 20 minutes on either side of what was supposed to be the peak where I am. probably saw 5-10 per minute. Most were small, but there were a couple dozen that were really impressive.

Well, it was spectacular. I ended up going to Parson's Trail, which is a fairly secluded public area at the foot of Mt. Wilson. There's less light pollution. and a much more clear FOV. I watched for about an hour, while listening to Alien Disko Funk by Dan Efex. Before tonight, I probably saw a total of 15 shooting stars in my lifetime, now I've lost count :D Great stuff!

Suburban Philadelphia was perfectly clear. I seen aleast 500 within an hour. Froze my @ss off in the process, but it was well worth it!

It was awesome. I had to drive like 40 miles north to escape cloud cover (thanks to Weather Channel .Com for the up to date cloud imagery maps to guide me).

I fought sleep for half of the drive back. It was worth it.

I'm going to bed now.

:)

That would have put you in my neck of the woods. :) It was a perfectly clear night up here.
