I tried to sell some OEM software with hardware and was suspened indefinitely.........

I'm confused, why is this not allowed on eBay. I've purchased several OEM titles, including a Windows OS a few years ago.

I check the feedback before I bid, especially on the powersellers. One of them had a bunch of retail Lite-on CDRWs on auction. The title said it was a 40x write, but the picture showed a 24x. Plus, the item description was a bit suspect. So I emailed him and he apologizes, saying "Sorry, you are right, all are 24x." But then he never changed the title or put a note in the description! The amazing thing is, all were sold and I never found a negative feedback. Did nobody notice?

While we're discussing feedback, does anyone know what is going on with Black Diamond on ebay? It would appear that they've had about 12-20 legit negs in the last couple weeks.....but, they are still selling, and, selling Buy It Now under a second ID, apparently? Course, being a huge seller with 5K+ feedbacks, probably buys them alot of leeway. I wonder if PayPal is still taking payments from them? Fortunately, I've only bought a couple of things from 'em in the past, without problems.

I used to place a positive fedback as soon as I got the payment from the buyer for whatever I was selling. Changed this after dealing with some unreasonable Canadian that wouldn't believe it takes more than a week to get a CDrom from florida to Vancouver...eh.

I now hold my feedback to be contingent on whether THEY leave a positive first or not. I figure that if they know I might have a negative waiting for them after they leave one for me, they might be a little less whimsical about it. I've only had one instance since where I suspect it might have turned out sour for me. He wrote and asked for me to leave him a positive feedback and I basically said..."you go first". He didn't leave me a feedback and I didn't leave one for him...

Speaking of nonsense, did you happen to read your post?

It's like paying FBI to erase your previosly murder record or something.
Yeah, pretty close. If you what to think about it like that the senerio goes more like this: You must pay the FBI to expunge your overturned murder conviction that you were never guilty of.

I mean if someone left you a negative feedback and its true then take it.
Yeah, what's your point? You have to take it because it's not going to be removed even if you pay if the feedback is legit. It still must fall within one of the categories that eBay set forth for feedback removal.

If its not true too bad there is nothing you can do about it
There is plenty you can do about it. You can get it removed by eBay for free or you pay square trade. That's the point of this whole thread.

Well, now you can pay 20bux to erase the record and everyone gets a perfect record buyers won't be able to tell the difference between bad and good seller anymore.
NOW? You shouldn't use hot deals as your news source. Square trade has been around since 1999.
