If you want to squeeze as much out as possible you could even hit up your trustee Ciruity City for a bit off. Make sure both items are in stock at CompUSA before walking in to the store. Purchase both at Circuit City for $29.99 and walk out the door. Now walk back in with receipt in hand and a copy of the CompUSA ad and request a difference match. Circuit City's is 110% of the diff so they give you back the $22 diff plus another $2.20 (including taxes for your area) back. Thus you pick each game up for $5.79 a peice and if the rebate is $25 back on 2 without question you get back even more. Also this is always best to do to cut of those extra cost edges where you can.

The rebate clearly states that it will not exceed what you paid for the software. But, if Circuit City doesn't give you a different receipt it should work.

Man, I wish I had a CompUSA near me. Would have saved the online order trouble with the Iomega 12x10x32x too.

Let me say that I've sent in many a rebate that quoted "amount of rebate not to exceed purchase price," and only once has this ever come to pass. Most of the rebate workers fill in your "clearly" labeled name, address, and phone number data, then input the rebate number. Most don't have the time or patience to hunt and peck through a receipt, and I NEVER mark the price of the item on CompUSA receipts especially (can you say cryptic?).

My guess is that you will get the full $25.

I just got back from the CompUSA at syracuse carousel mall.
Bought one of 3 remaining versions of Half-life.. hehe, needed the CD key for online CS :p
There were lots of pharoah left.
But there was only one copy of Starcraft left and it was a pre-opened box.
So if any of u are in the area and thinking of it, there are 2 boxes of half-life left about one hour ago :)

Hey all,

I picked up Half-Life and Pharoah for $7.99 last night at the CompUSA in Duluth, GA. They still had quite a few copies of HL left there if anyone is intersted!

You can also get Nascar 3 for 19.99 with either Pharaoh or Half-Life and get $25 off so you get them both for $2.98 and get the other one with a separate $10 off rebate sent to another address.:D

Great find!! I've been waiting for this game. So how do you get the Counter Strike going if you get the Game of the Year Edition? Download it or something?

When do these prices go back up? I won't be able to make it to CompUSA until Monday.

I believe today, Sat, is your last day. CompUSA sales are usually good for a week. If you go in today and they don't have, you can get a raincheck @ this weeks sale price when they do have. Otherwise you pay the normal price. Probably 29.98 or so.

I had placed an order online right hwen they put it up and it got backordered. So I went to the store yesterday and they had a bunch of em marked at $29.99 with no sign of a sale(guess that's why they still had em), but it's $7.99. Awesome deal

It's called partitioning and formatting only the Windows partition. You can leave your important stuff and backups on the other partition. :)
