up to $100 can be claimed without any proof other than your word.
read the details ^_^

In Florida?

In Fl, the way I read it, you can claim up to five without any proof which would get you $60 if all five were OS. After five you need the PID or COA number.

Also weepul asked about per person/household limitations. If anyone sees that for Fl please post as I don't find it. My husband and I have more than 5 since 1995, but most have been given away, died, redone with different OS, etc. So it would be nice if we both could file.

allisolm, I have my FL packet printed out and have read it line for line, I can't find anything that mentions a limit to the number of products a single person or a family can claim. The form only has room for 10 items and there is no mention of whether or not you can submit another packet.

Yes, I printed out the claim form yesterday and I didn't find anything that says per person/address/household or anything. Well, if we both file, I suppose all they can do is reject the second one to file.

Hot deal, final get some money back for all the cash I have forked over to MS, for once I get a bonus for living in Cali other than the great weather.

For Florida residents (like myself), you have to fill out name/address info and provide a social security # or a tax ID (for a biz), then it auto-generates a 6-page .PDF file you have to print and finish filling out and then mail off. Pretty fast and easy. The asking for my SSN # makes me quite curious though... 😕

Thanks, I know I bought some software in that timeframe from MS, dunno what, win 95/win98 win98se, winme, office, something I'm sure.

windows XP doesn't count in this, but DOS does if your computer came only with DOS
Remember, you can make a claim for every MS-DOS or Windows operating system license or upgrade you purchased and for every Word, Excel, Works or Office software license or upgrade you purchased from February 15, 1995 through December 15, 2001. For example, let's assume you bought a computer in 1995 that came with MS-DOS but you decided to upgrade to Windows 95 and then you upgraded again to Windows 98. Each operating system counts as a separate license. In this example, you own 3 operating system licenses. Let's also assume your system started out with Word and Excel as separate applications and then when you upgraded to Windows, you bought Office in which Word and Excel are grouped with other software. This example gives you 1 Word license, 1 Excel license and 1 Office license for a total of 3 applications licenses.

Microsoft operating system software includes MS-DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows NT for workstations and versions of these products. Microsoft applications software includes Microsoft Word (word processing), Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet), Microsoft Office (a package of software which includes Word and Excel) and Microsoft Works (a package which includes Word).
