I'd consider this a hot deal, the forums seem to be lacking these lately so here's one for you!

First, you're going to need to check techbargains in order to get the code for 25% off, it's on their main page.

Then go over to twec.com and start shopping. These guys have great shipping prices (It was $3.99 for 2 DVDs for me, this is cheaper than insured USPS!) and they already have great prices on the DVD movies I looked at.

I saw the X-Men DVD for only $16.88 and the Se7en 2-DVD Platinum Edition for $19.98. When you take 25% off of these prices, you start getting some NICE deals.

Also you can advance order the 5-DVD Rocky series for $63.88, apply 25% and you're down to less than $50 for a 5-DVD set! Even buy.com has the Rocky 5-DVD set for $60.99, so this place is going to give you more than $10 savings over buy.com.

These are just a few examples of some great prices I found. Anyone else care to add to the deals, please do so and I'll update my post.

I saw another TWEC coupon over at Bigbigsavings.*com for 15% off $30 PLUS free shipping. If you order two or more items from TWEC, shipping quickly ramps up to $6.99 or so, so this may be a better deal than the 25% off coupon.

When I placed my order, shipping for 2 items was only $3.99. The 15% off is only on CDs. The 25% off is for any items.

Hey, a great deal with this coupon is Phantasy Star Online for Dreamcast. Most places have it for 49.99.

Twec is 44.99 - 25% (11.25) = 33.74 +shipping.

Save nearly $15.

I don't mean to thread crap, but TWEC=SUCK in my experience for dreamcast stuff. I waited 2 months after I placed my order to get Shenmue from them, they are not responsive to their e-mail and I am currently waiting for them to ship me Grandia 2 that I ordered 12/18.

I hear they are much better with DVDs and CDs, but I wouldn't be making any videogame type purchases from them if I were you.

I placed an order for ATV and Tekken Tag for PS2 from TWEC today. I pray that I get them in a somewhat timely manner. Total for both was around $75 (includes shipping). Not too shabby. We'll see how this works out.

hey divinemartyr,

No offense but the coupon I described above (15% off plus free shipping) DOES work on video games and other stuff. I put a $28.88 game and two $1.00 jewelcases in my cart and shipping was $6.99. Anyone find any items for around $1.50 to $2.00 to hit the $30.00 mark with less shipping?

I have no experience with their video games. But I've placed a half dozen orders for CDs and DVDs, and all came really fast. In fact, almost always when my orders include pre-order items, tehy went ahead and shipping the in-stock stuff without charging me extra.

With 25% off, their box set prices are about impossible to beat. Plus box sets only count as 1 item for figuring up shipping.

first post, please be kind.

prelatebishop, i've ordered ps2 games and accessories from twec.com without any problems. using the various coupons, they generally have the best prices. they shipped atv the day after i ordered it. however, my atv disc appears to have a manufacturing defect. still, it's no problem to return any of the online ordered items to a twec store (ex. coconuts), even if that store doesn't sell the particular item.

one note of caution, if you want to return something by mail, twec.com does not provide prepaid shipping labels, although they claim they will reimburse shipping for defects, etc. also, there's apparently no customer service number to call. all correspondence is by email, and it can take several days to get a reply.

Aircasper - thanks for the information. Really helpful stuff for everyone in this thread.

UPDATE
I ordered on Monday and received both of my games on Friday! I specified "standard" delivery for my order. All in all I would say I am very pleased with my experience at www.twec.com. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Well I am glad to see that no one else is having the same kinds of problems with them that I am. I even called up their customer service on wednesday to complain. They told me that they would send me an e-mail update about my order. I have yet to receive one or my order, but like I said, YMMV.

I ordered two PS2 games earlier this morning. The Bouncer and Onimusha Warlords, neither of them are out yet. The Bouncer(this wednesday) and Onimusha(16th or 17th).

Hopefully I get them both in a timely manner. At $37 a piece it's not a bad deal.

i just placed an order feb 27 and they shipped all my music cd's but two on march 1st and they were delivered already with free 2nd day upgrade and it applied that to my whole order.

i also ordered atv offroad fury but it hasn't shipped yet. i also preorderd some dreamcast games which were already cheap like daytona and well see what happens.

i also had a terrible experience back in the day with twec and their 4-7 day out of stock items. I literally waited 3+ months and a few emails and ended up telling them to screw off on those orders cause they were just current dreamcast games, nothing that wasn't in retail.

so hopefully I won't get burned on their games, they were always cool with dvd movies and music though shipping things soon when they were out of stock.

needless to say if your looking for a bunch of stuff this 25% off coupon is probably one of the best deals on the net right now cause their prices aren't jacked up already.

I just returned my defective ATV game at the local coconuts store this past weekend without any problems. The store manager was at first a bit confused, saying they didn't sell games. However, I mentioned that the customer service representative at twec.com said I should take it into ANY twec store for a full refund. So I was able to get the refund without a hitch. Just make sure you don't lose the shipping invoice.

For those PS2 owners who haven't done so already, you may want to preorder Zone of the Enders, which includes the highly sought after Metal Gear Solid 2 demo for free.
