Get $25 from the Credit Card Foreign Transaction Settlement

Nice find. I'll have to go back through my receipts to see how much I spent during my 3 week visit in Ireland a few years ago. 🙂

The site is registered to what appears to be a law firm in Philadelphia. It's hosted on GoDaddy. They want account numbers, name, address & last four of SSN. There was no privacy policy that I saw on the site. I'm leary of sending out that much personal info for a $25 refund.

I got a form in the mail from them. They already had all of my info.

If I understood correctly, you can use the $25 refund option regardless of how much you spent on foreign currency transactions. This works well for enybody who spent no more than $2500.

The bad thing for those who indeed spent more than $2500 is that they refund 1% only of the transactions' amounts AND you don't get to "itemize". They GUESSTIMATE who much yuo could have possible spent based on how many days you spent abroad. So, in most cases, the "easy" $25 is the best option.
