Georgia residents, sales tax holiday days

NICE!!! That's a good way to get the economy goin'. Too bad I live in NC.

Of course, this could be a paperwork nightmare for businesses.

Ahh.. but how's the state income tax or personal property tax? Seems therre's always some sort of tradeoff...

Current GA resident, former MT and OR (non sales tax states) resident....

Y'all need to know that the tax exemption on computer stuff, only applies if you purchase a computer also. I.E., you need to purchase a notebook or desktop computer, then anything else you purchase up to $1500 is tax exempt.

Somebody please correct me if I am wrong but you can buy stuff via mail / internet and still qualify for the non-sales tax -- of course, currently, there isn't any sales tax collected for out-of-state internet purchases anyway....
