Props for playing to the crowd. But that is politics. This is... something else. Something much worse. America faces a schism. I'm not sure many independents will remain undecided for long. Either one views Georgia as defending voting rights, or attacking them. Both cannot be true. There is no middle ground. Same with accepting the 2020 election. America is not suited for discourse to remain civil much longer. Thus the efforts to attack party members and segregate based on political party.

I describe this conflict, and all you've really done is explain our side's reason for attacking. You won't find the Republican argument here, not even from their few posters. For there is little to no interest in discussion or cross examination. Those who know, don't. The rest, they've done a poor job of explaining their side. I don't see that changing.

The Dems have made a couple misleading claims and saying Jim Crow is a bit much but overall the law definitely will make it harder to vote for poorer people and especially those in urban areas, plus essentially allows the GOP legislature to take over elections. The entire premise of the Georgia law is a complete lie about election security, so what does one really think this is about?

The problem I have is that I don't think Trump stole the election and the tampering that the Democrats got up in arms about is the same tampering that happened in this last election.....the Trump machine continues to spread misinformation to confuse everyone. The more crazy something sounds, the more likely it's going to get attention....they know this and exploited it since the last time Trump ran for office. I think it's really sad that people will believe anything they read and don't question the motives when something sounds unlikely.

I know a lot of smart republicans that buy that fall for everything their party throws at them as "Truth" because it's convenient.

Jim crow in a suit is still Jim Crow. Just because the policies aren't explicitly racist doesn't mean they still aren't racist.
Why else would you stop Sunday voting? Granted this provision didn't make it into the final signed bill, but its existence in the first place is an indicator of what republicans were trying to accomplish.
