The new Jabba scene looks a lot better than the SE version, but still not that great.

The funny part is that Han is looking at Jabba's "chin" instead of his eyes. Heh.

yeah I noticed that. The main thing that bothers me about that scene is Han stepping on Jabba's tail. Its just stupid.

wait until you get to the middle of the movie--the death star only stuns everyone on Alderaan because it was deemed too violent to blow the planet up.

hehe. But it was ok to blow up the Death Star?

yes it was fine to blow up the death star....everyone on the death star (including the independent contractors building it the second time around) were evil*. They all wanted to do nothing more than destoy the rebels and thus having them be killed off was "justified" while having innocents killed off is not

*watch clerks for the entire explination....everything will become clear :D

Han doesn't shoot first anymore, they shoot simulatenously. That's a change from the '97 theatrical release.

Hehe, I enjoy this thread :) If you're a fan of the original movies, get the widescreen LaserDisks on eBay, they rarely go for more than $50-$70.

Fixed.

Exactly. But what I don't get is why everyone bitches so much about little changes. He's not making major character or plot changes. It's still the same movie. Get over it.

They had to do that because the original footage had Han Solo walk behind the human actor. When they changed Jabba to the creature that was in Jedi, they had to integrated that walk behind by making Han walk over his tail.
