Yeah! I've experienced that too, the trick is to use thin pieces. Sometimes its not really burnt too, its the marinade/sugar thats carmalized. But yeah, trying using thin pieces.

I have the mega foreman. For me, the only 'burnt' part is the grill marks. The bigger one has temp settings.

It works very well, with heat coming from both sides. It's a bit smelly if you use it indoors with cheap ground beef (tons of fat). It gave a weird taste to the burgers the first time I used, even made me suspicious the meat was not that fresh.

Tried with chicken but no pork yet...

I got it from Amazon when they had the free convection oven offer, another great thing for those $1 mini-pizzas, frozen fries, and all kind of frozen junk food!

I think I could have gotten the mega foreman from my stepdad for nothing (he never used it). Is it the huge one that comes with a stand to look like an outdoor grill? I'll stick to my skillet. You can't put a foreman grill in the oven to finish cooking a steak either. 😀

Bah, I used the Foreman grill to cook some chicken breasts one time.....outside was burned, inside was raw. The chicken wasn't that thick...what did I do wrong?

I used to use mine when I lived in an apartment, it was pretty effective. However, I bought a Weber gas grill last spring and haven't touched the George Foreman since.
