My comment? Carlin talks about the rich cock suckers who control this country for their own benefit, screwing the rest of us. Romney is one, and the radical Republican right wing are all, quite literally, Koch suckers.

LOL, btw, Carlins first sentence claim education sucks because the owners of this country don't want that. Laughable at best.

I like Carlin but this is the kind of non-nonsensical logic that conspiracy theorists follow. There is no "them" that controls everything. Various rich individuals, corporations, and other institutions certainly do have a disproportionate influence over everyday life, but they are each pursuing their own, often divergent, interests.

The teachers unions like the status quo in education, but a for profit education company might not. The corn farmers like sugar tariffs, but the candy makers don't. It's not that there aren't evil rich bastards out there, it's just that they don't work together as Carlin implies.

The American dream was a limited government where it didn't matter how rich you were because the government wasn't supposed to have the power to favor one person or group in the first place.

Tell me Perknose, you do distinguish between Romney and the 'radical right', don't you?

After all you're speaking of the godfather of Obamacare. Romney is no more radical right than Obama. It is the moderate right who enjoy big government Neocons who serve the rich. It's us radical right who are Libertarians that despise Romney.

Think that over, and ask yourself who bailed out the rich? We wanted them to burn for their failures. Someone stopped natural consequences from taking place. Someone served the rich a government buffet and it was the 'radical right' who tried to opposed this.

Actually your statement is laughable.

Aren't you aware that "conservatism" is a political ideology designed in response to attempts by those of the lower classes to be able to move up economically and socially?

Aren't you aware the conservative thought is against any more education than is absolutely necessary?
More education is looked at as destabilizing in a society. Conservatives don't want change. I mean that is the WHOLE idea of their ideology.

The idea that educated masses are bad and indeed dangerous is a CENTRAL tenet of conservative thought.

I'm just amazed at how screwed up education is in America due to conservatives.

I'm pretty sure we'll be invading Iran and Romney will cut his already ludicrous taxes even lower than it already is. In that context, i think Romney is a radical. Maybe on social issues he isn't.

And the ass kissing authoritarian robots come out to defend their masters. Maybe if you lick their asses clean enough, they'll let you have some crumbs from the big table. But don't count on it.

GUMP !!!! Shut the hell up. Is anyone supposed to take you seriously? You remind me of Cindy Sheehan blaming the Hurricanes on Bush's environmental policies. Your posts have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you have no clue what Conservatism stands for.

He knows exactly what it stands for: convincing stupid poor people to help ultra rich people control the country. Just the way Baby Jeebus intended.

Actually, Matt, let me get serious here for a moment.
You really don't have a clue. You are not well read. You have no historical context for your critical thinking. It is pretty obvious from your posts.

You seem to have the same relationship with your critics as modern right wing talk radio. Just shout how wrong they are. Shout loudly and shout longly.

Perhaps you should really look into conservativism. You apparently are missiing the historical and ideological basis for it.

In a last ditch attempt to give you the most shocking revelation about your political ideology and critical thinking consider this. I am claiming that limited educated is a fundamantal tenet of Conservative thought and that perhaps the most important ideological reason is that it leads to disastisfaction with the economic and social status quo.

Now think about that. I am making a very clear, very distinct and very definitive statement. It should be easy to disprove. Try doing some research on the subject. I'd say go back a hundred or so years.

That's the thing....
It matters where the wealth came from. Romney got an inheritance from his father some of which was probably used to start up Bain along with money from perhaps some other questionable sources.
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-bain-creation-20120719,0,5698366,full.story
Among the Bain investors were Francisco R.R. de Sola and his cousin Herbert Arturo de Sola, whose brother Orlando de Sola was suspected by State Department officials and the CIA of backing the right-wing death squads, according to now-declassified documents.
While Kerry got an inheritance when his father died and a lot of his wealth is attributable to marrying someone richer than him.

Of course John Kerry perhaps has benefited from other shady deals. Time will tell.

As for the George Carlin rant. Well if you accept it as just a joke then you can I guess ding the OP for naming Koch.

If you take it as a glimmer of the truth disguised as humor (because if you tell people the truth you better make it funny) then naming the Koch brothers is a valid point since some say that they were involved in the citizen's united case.

You are beyond pathetic. You are a troll, a hack and the poster child for the extreme left wing. You have no clue what is really wrong with America's education system.

Fair point.

The Carlin Rant is about both parties owned by the wealthiest of the wealthy giving people the illusion of choice. Amongst other things.

Isn't acceptance one of the stages of the grieving process?
