I am looking to purchase a Geoforce 3 Ti200.
Who has a Gainward? Thumbs up or down? Any flaws?

What about Leadtek?

Those Leadtek cards look awsome with the massive Heatsinks and some have LED's and hardware monitors I would go with one of those :D

Yeah, the 3.8ns Ram on my Leadtek ti200 TDH is also VERY nice :) Can you say 530+ Mhz ram?

Do not mislead this guy. the Leadtek Ti200 TDH is no longer being produced (according to a rep at leadtek that i spoke to), and so will be hard to find. The Ti200 T is what they are now making, with 4ns mem.

also, it seems that only a few cards actually had the 3.8ns mem. the odds of getting your hands on a Leadtek Ti200 TDH with 3.8ns mem are very low.

Question: i am not sure if the Leadteck Ti200 T comes with ram sinks. does anybody know if it does or not?

Sorry, I was not aware of that information. According to pictures at www.NewEgg.com, the ti200 T does NOT have ramsinks.

The newest Visiontek TI-200's are pretty nice as well. I picked one up from the Best Buy deal ($99.00) and have it running @ 230\500 with stock cooling.

TI-500 for $100.00?

SOLD

If you can find the TDH version good for you. I suspect any place that is advertising it even if it is more money doesn't really have it. Call first to confirm. I ordered one of the TDH versions two weeks ago. The picture on the site showed the TDH, the confirmation e-mail stated the TDH version, and the invoice in the box stated it was the leadtek ti200 TDH. Guess what! It was the T version, I was fuming. The T version has a small fan and NO ram sinks. It comes with Entron (I think that's the name) 4ns memory. I returned it. So by this time, I doubt you will find the TDH version. If you do let me know where it is. Oh yeah, it also has no hardware monitoring which includes those cool looking led lights!

Visiontek cards with 4ns mem look amazing ( from 230 to 260 core oc ; from 500 to 590 mem oc ). But i wouldn't gamble on that after the BB sale. The gainward n leadtek cards look like they hit 220 to 240 core oc and the limit seems to be 500 mem for 4ns mem.

The $175 delivery price (see hot deals forum) for the Gainward, will get you a
GF3 Ti200 that clocks in at 262 core and 561 memory, without any additional cooling.
The only Visiontek cards that come close are the Ti500's. Visiontek Ti200 use 5ns ram.

Just tested with 3DMark 2001 at 7349, using 1GHz T-Bird at 1.4Ghz, and KT133A Epox.
DDR motherboard and AMD XP would have topped 8000.

Leadtek, the hardware monitoring is a plus that only they and ASUS offer

REALLY! A gainward can hit above 250mhz and above 540 mhz ! i don't believe cause all the gainward and leadtek cards i saw only hit up to 230 mhz core n 500 mhz mem. 500 mhz mem seems to be the limit of the mem, (same used by both cards with 4 ns access time). If that were true if it would hit that high, i wanna get one.

I would get a PNY, it has Standard VGA out, TV out and DVI. Right now you can get the PNY Geforce3 TI 200 at BUY.COM for $165.95 and free shipping. It's the lowest delivered price on the web I could find. Only problem is, they are out of stock right now.

My Gainward GF3 Ti200 Golden Sample works really well, running 240/500 at the moment (equal to Ti500, for MUCH less money), haven't tried any higher but it seems like there is still some room left for higher clock speeds. Two thumbs up. But whatever you do, if you get a Gainward DO NOT install the ExpertTool software that comes with it. I couldn't get mine to run anything 3D with that proggie installed.

I'm real happy with my Gainward Geforce3 Ti200 card. Although I haven't tried overclocking. I'm also using the latest 23.10 Nvidia drivers instead of the Gainward drivers.
