geocities wtf?

It seems like everyday I come across a post here in the forums with a link to a Geocities page, however, I NEVER seem to be able get the page to load. Anyone know why?

yeah, they dont allow direct linking, try doing a Save As on that link.

Do you get an error or do you get a page telling you that it could not find the page on their server?

copy the shortcut, open a new browser window, and paste. it will work

drag the link that was posted to the address bar and you should be set. btw: geocities is sucks!

ppl need to link geocities sites with fp.geocities.com instead of www.geocities.com then it will direct link.
