Generic case, PSU and fan OK?

I'm building a Duron 750 @ 933 system. It has a maxtor HD, a radeon and the other standart stuff (CD, CDRW etc) and I'm looking for a case. I am on a very tight budget and I found a nice generic $50 CDN case at a local shop. It looks nice and solid and comes with a generic 300W PSU and a generic 80mm case fan.

Do you think it will be enough for my system? I really dont want to spend more money than that and I've heard that generic PSU's and cases are ok.

Can I please have your opinion?

I am also using the Tt Volcano II and artic silver2 (if it matters)

Generic cases are ok but you are really playing your luck with a generic PSU. If it happens to work you'll be lucky but most generics don't meet AMD's requirments for the Duron and Thunderbird. Even if it doesn't meet AMD's requirments I don't think you are going to fry your processor or anything but it will be unstable.

You probably be ok, cuz all those capacitors around the socket are there to smooth the processor voltage. You can always replace the power supply later when you have a few bucks.

I would feel a lot better if they build computers in-house and they use the same case/300W ps for their systems and could vouch for their reliability and stability. That's how I got my generic case with a generic 250W ps for my P3. I have since upgraded to an Antec 300W but the Antec could not take me any further nor was more stable than the generic ps. But then I might have just gotten lucky. Good luck.

well, i guess I'll try my luck with the generic PSU. I am gonna use the A7V133 so stability won't be that much of a problem I guess.

I have found a Sparkle (recommneded) PSU for a good price, so I'll upgrade if need be.

FYI,
my friend's 2 computers got burn by no brand PS after been used for half year,
another friend's computer also got burn by no brand PS.
I won't use no brand PS.
