Hi!

I have a generic bluetooth adapter and I'm hoping to download the correct set of drivers to see if I can get a bluetooth headset to pair with my computer and use A2DP. The Hardware IDs in the generic bluetooth adapter properties show the ff.:

USB\VID_1131&PID_1001&REV_0373
USB\VID_1131&PID_1001

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks mfenn! I have actually tried this, but it won't even get past the "detecting the adapter" portion. :)

Are you willing to crack the adapter open so that you can read the markings on the chip itself? If not, I can't think of any way to find out whose chip it actually is.

Extra info: The adapter actually has clear blue casing. What I can see is "0704" written in digital font on the board, as well as "BM05E_V2.01" in a different font. There's a serial number ("S/N:") that seems to be covered with a white label. Other than that, there are no other letters or numbers on the board. EDIT: There's also what looks like JWT16.000 on there.

I'm pretty sure that's a Broadcom. Maybe try older versions of the drivers until you find one that works?

Also, if you are comfortable booting into a different OS, try loading up a Linux LiveCD and seeing if the adapter is detected there.
