The combat never got intense enough for me, and there wasn't enough of it.
Apparently you need to learn more about history. The invasion of Iraq was not very intense.

Godfather was a cool character
I thought he was a sociopathic wise and beautiful woman. He kept talking about wanting to "be in the game". Of course, he is not the one driving into enemy territory in a minimally armored humvee. to him, the foot soldiers are a disposable resource to be used to further their own agenda. I guess it is easy to take risks when you are high up the management chain, because you aren't risking your own life in any way.

Really?! That's funny, I'm actually a historian, and the 1st MarDiv saw alot more action than GK suggested (Nasiriyah, Al Kut, the Diyala bridge, etc.), but how much of that included this one platoon of the 1st Recon Bn, I don't know.
Regardless, I do know from reading alot of your posts that you were in the military (thanks! :thumbsup🙂, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume you're not actually citing HBO's mini-series interpretation of a Rolling Stone reporter's book as a primary source for the invasion of Iraq.
