Generated Visa??

Hey, I come here with another question for you gurus. I was just wondering, is there any way that I can generate a visa/debit number from a bank and use it for ebay fees and such? I ask this because when signing up to sell on ebay, it is required that you use a visa card to identify yourself, as well as pay for fees (for putting up items on the site). I have grown into being similar to my dad and am now leary of putting my visa card number up on the internet. Please let me know if there is anyway that I can get a visa/debit card with funds already on the card,

You can get prepaid ccards from your bank. You can put whatever amount you want on them generally, use them online, and if it gets hacked/stolen, oh well, you're only out what's on it.

Some banks (wachoviacreditcard.com) will allow you to generate VISA numbers and limit how much they can take. This is of course tied to your actual card but it's a different number with a very short exp date if you wish.

No, I'm not thinking that way, yet... 😀. Also, if you read the OP, it says "identify yourself," meaning the card is going to have to be under my name... What I am looking for is something like what technogeeky and sphexi have said.
