Had my hopes up :(

* New Quest TV app
* But it's mostly just a launcher for other apps
* And they removed user-generated content

They really need to:

1. Create an AIO streaming app
2. Add a "watch together" feature
3. Let you purchase in-app content

The Skybox VR cinema scene with the 2D 4K Avatar 3 IMAX trailer on the Quest 3 really changed my perspective on VR as a viable movie-watching experience. What VR needs is a Roku app lol.

I'd really like to try one due to the quality, but most of the apps I use are on the Meta Store.

Great to see high-quality improvements still happening!

There are all these great headsets coming out but very little content to justify getting a new one. My G2 is still good but I only do occasional space sims and Google Earth in VR now. I see no reason to get a new one, especially since it would need new prescription lenses too.

Same issue as the original Wii:

1. Phenomenal technology
2. Incredible launch games (how addicting was Wii Sports??)
3 ...zero follow-through

We need more stuff like Alyx VR that are truly immersive games with high production value, but the corporate interest & thus funding required just isn't there. At least the Quest setup has an incredible array of gaming options:

As well as movies:
