NATO is a defensive organisation so, theoretically, they should line up behind Canada. Realistically it would be the end of NATO. It would completely fuck up the way the world works on several levels!

No. The mere fact that he threatens an Alliance member with military action means the pact is dead. DEAD.
Your posts made me remember fuzzily a story involving an alternate way to look at threat. I don’t remember the details of the story or how it was told but I remember the altered perspective. It involved I think a military person, maybe a general, who everyone was terrified of because he could order a private to shoot them and an individual who was unmoved by such intimidation. For that person the thing one should fear was the private not the general.
What we consider is reality, how we anticipate disaster is all about the perspectives conditioned into our minds. If you watch an animal like a cat you will notice that they are never frightened by thoughts because they are aware only of what happens in the now. Thought is fear. Thought is memory of feelings evoked by words. Words are how we imagine what does not exist divisions and distinctions we use to divide time and space into pieces. Thought is division into dualities that do not exist. Thought creates time difference and fear. Thought is memory of conditioning. To think is to I’ve in an altered reality of your own creation.
This is why if there is a way to end thought would open the door to the joy of being? What when fear is not present, when one is riding the wave?

If the US invades Canada, there's nothing the rest of NATO could do. NATO is heavily dependent on the US for airlift and sea-lift. Not like anything would survive the trip across the Atlantic if they were being hunted by the Navy and AF. The biggest issue for the US would be the protests if he tries anything like this or if the armed forces refuse.
