Right I have win 7 on a 74gb raptor, with an older 400gb (maybe 500) WD drive filled with media. I only have about 30 gigs left on the storage drive and have been looking at getting a 1tb drive but am not sure what exactly the best way to set this up is.
Should I just get rid of both old drives and put everything on a new fast 1tb+ drive? Or does it make sense to keep the raptor? Or I could just keep what I have and buy an external 1tb disk. Very confusing what the optimal setup is. With eSata, is there any reason NOT to have your storage drive external?
I think I'm actually leaning towards just replacing the data drive, and replacing the raptor with an SSD eventually but I don't want to lose the performance until then if the raptor really is THAT slow compared to these new drives.
All I'm going to be doing with the machine (until SC2 or another decent PC game comes out) is downloading torrents and streaming the media to my Ps3.
