Pretty sure that's a HIPAA violation.
Also people ratting on women seeking an abortion in other states. There should be a big fat countersuit. If successful it would quickly end this barbaric practice by Republicans.

Interesting the DOJ could get involved.
A HIPAA violation can be criminal when an individual knowingly and wrongfully uses or discloses PHI in violation of §1320d-6 of the Social Security Act. Violations of this nature are most often referred to the Department of Justice, who has the authority to impose fines of up to $250,000 and pursue custodial sentences of up to ten years.

EDIT: just submitted a complaint to the dept of health and human services. Yay.
It depends on who is doing the reporting, HIPAA only covers professionals and not laypersons. If someone goes to a doctor for gender affirming medical care and a nurse in the office reports it then it could well be a HIPAA violation. If someone goes to a doctor for gender affirming care and the nosy Karen next door follows them and reports it then is not a HIPAA violation.

Yeah, always seemed strange to me that something is only protected if it comes from a professional. I wonder if it matters that this shit is being reported to the state govt.

I'm sure that form in the OP is being spammed to oblivion. This Stasi East Germany shit should put everyone on notice. In particular the people with "Don’t tread on me" bumper stickers. This is the very government they are buying arsenals of guns to stay safe from.

If one has a sincerely held belief, it is okay to violate the Constitution and impose it on others. That's what the free exercise of religion is all about.
Exactly, just like all the people posting about evil here. They sincerely believe it exists and they know what it is along with all the natural rights of condemnation. All it takes is certainty.

We had a good run america. Catch ya later

Yeah, kinda feels like a death sprial.

So for future democracies, what would be the changes needed to prevent this from happening again?

I think I’m order to answer that we’d have to define what caused the problems in the first place.

First and foremost it seems like money in politics was a huge factor.

Second, possibly a lack of representation was another factor and one that may have led to a rise in catering to extremism at the house level. Add to that to gerrymandered districts and you end up with a series lack of representation. Another obvious issue would be the reliance on the electoral college, another anti democratic idea.

Another factor I think was a lack of media and journalistic standards. It’s hard to tell what a solution would be but clearly the ability of an influential entity’s ability to spread either misinformation, propaganda, or half truths primed an electorate to be open to even more extremism.

Lastly and maybe even the most important, was a lack of focus on keeping the public educated. I’m talking about everything from not understanding how our government works to not being trained on how to discern truth from lies, propaganda, and half truths. An educated public, imo, is the greatest defender of democracy.
