General question about whether this HD can connect to this MB

I've made a couple of posts over the past few weeks. I'm gearing up to build my first rig. A question has come up during my shopping:

Can a HD with connection type "Serial ATA 150" connect to a motherboard with connections listed as:

Storage Devices

PATA -- 1x ATA 100 up to 2 devices
SATA 3 Gb/s -- 4

Excellent. But would you mind explaining so I can understand it? Which of the MB connections would the HD in question connect to?

well, it'd connect to the Serial ATA ports. The PATA ports are the big long ones that look like...http://www.ripnet-uk.com/reviews/motherboards/ECS/P4S8AG/ide_sml.jpg the blue and black rectangles on the right..

SATA ports look like: http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:6...om/reviews/ECS/PF88/images/headers.jpg

The bright orange thing in the top, although they can be any color, its the shape that matters.

Also make sure your power supply has one of these connectors on it:http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:3...es.com/images/Items/sata/sata15pin.jpg , if your drive is newer and doesnt have the connector on the far right side of this picture: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...6svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG
