I play quite a few games on my compy and have a question that I'd like answered.

I have a 7900gt, 2 gb of ram, a raptor and a windows RAID0 of 2 crappy hds running on an ASRock Dual SATA2 motherboard powered by a 3700+.

Right now I've got the processor OC'd to 2.75 ghz and am wondering if it is a total waste to be OC'd this high. My ram is divided down to 196.5mhz with timings of 2.5-3-3-10-2T. (512MBx4)

My 7900 is OC'd to 665/1760.

Does it really help to have my processor at this clock?

Thanks

Yes. an overclocked processor is always a benefit for gaming.

with the on-die memory controller, 2T or running divider has minimal gaming performance hit.
