Actually, one would have either had an inordinately bad experience with a GM vehicle for which they are holding some kind of grudge against GM, or just derives some vain feeling of sophistication from hating domestic vehicles, to deny the quality/reliability gap between Japanese or European cars and American companies has been fastly narrowing over the last decade.

I also find it particularly amusing when domestic-haters pit American models against foreign models costing several thousand dollars more. I've heard dozens and dozens of references to BMW, Audi, Lexus, Infinity, and Mercedes over the years.

Comparing a $40,000 Audi or BMW to a $25,000 Pontiac is quite absurd.

agreed. then again, they sucked twenty years ago, and they still suck now, and they'll probably suck in the future. the only way way to do it right is to fire all the retards on the top and hire people who will scare word QUALITY into the shiznits of the unions and workers.
