For AR I miss the Google glass way of doing it.
Headset that's fairly normal looking, AR HUD that doesn't get in the way of reality but enhanced it...
Weird looking back on it how up in arms about it people were given what's out now!

I have a few customers who use these commercially. It's pretty cool because we can make POV training videos for new hires, do Zoom meetings to review things like building parts, fixing machines, etc., sort of like Facetime. Plus you can get prescription inserts for it as needed! They're especially nice when you just need information & not full immersion:
