Gemini "L" Shape Computer Desk is awesome

I just picked up one of these desks from Staples and it is great.

The base price of $70 is very low for what you get. It didn't hurt that I used a $50 gift card and a $10 of $40 gift card to buy it for ~$13.

The clearance is huge so even under the keyboard tray I don't hit my knees.
It is very stable.
The amount of desk space is good especially with the printer rack.

If you are looking for a desk, you should seriously consider this one.

Interesting link you have there, it goes to a page that's asking for my zip code 😛

Must be staples' site. I guess I go to Staples enough that it knows my zip from a cookie or something....

i clicked the link, it asked for my ZIP, i put it in, it took me to your desk.... not sure why they wanted my zip code.. oh well.

so was it hard to put that desk together? (i'm assuiming you had to assemble it yoruself)

Just got this one for $80 AC from Office Max. It's pimp juice.

Edit: Hit refresh if the link initially doesn't work.

Do you guys actually use keyboard trays? I usually tear all of mine off of my desks - they are just too aggravating. I'd set it in front of the computer monitor (I have an LCD, so I'd have a good amount of space in front of it.

I freaking hate keyboard trays. I tore the one off my desk at work. They're too low to use. They slide in and out... why hte hell would I need to hide my keyboard on a computer desk. The desk is for a computer, of course it will have a keyboard on it. Then your legs hit the damn thing when you try to slide your chair under the desk, and they're never very sturdy, always move around when you type. They suck.

I love this desk, in fact I bought 2 of them because they were so cheap. I now have one in my room and one at my fiance's apartment. There is so much space and its really solid. A great buy for anyone looking to pick a desk.

I have a glass-top L shaped desk with a keyboard tray... I used some double-sided tape and put in a desk organizer there (to hold pens, pencils, paperclips, etc.).

I've never had any of these problems with the one I have at home.

It gives me room on my desk to do paper work and such.

God damn it, whoever scripted that site sucks. It asks for my US zip code, for which I click on the "international users click here", then I try and browse the site...........yup, you guessed it, please enter your US zip code!

*edit* Perhaps if you posted a picture of this desk ? Or a link to the pic on the staples site?

And not bad, nice and minimalist, but I wonder how strong it is.

It seems to be quite strong. I have my 19" CRT on it and it is very steady.

Great desk, I bought two and stuck them in my home office in a U layout. It's pretty strong, holds my 21" Trintron up. But the keyboard tray does suck in that it can't fit both mousepad and keyboard comfortably on both.

I've got one too and i love it. I finally can face my 21" montior head on and then have plenty of space to work. I kinda like the keyboard thing and my mouse and msnatural keyboard fit fairly comfortably. Yes, a very small bit of my pad goes under the keyboard but that should be fixed once i get my logitech wireless stuff. I love the amount of room you have as workspace! It's great

eh, the legs are in the way. good L shaped desks let you sit at the corner so you can put a nice big monitor there and have loads of room for keyboard/mouse and are surrounded by desk. that one you'd have a table leg in your crotch, no thanks.

Looks like a cheap P.O.S. you'd get at Ikea.

I've bought furniture like this. You cut corners, you get burned. I got burned big time with this cheap type of crap.

Best bet is to go to a Flea market. Find yourself an old world old craftsmanship desk that'll outlast the next generation! 😉

OrooOroo,
The legs arn't in the way. The small part of the L is ment for the computer. And it can fit a really big monitor. My 21" has plenty of space to spare.

And TheeeChosenOne, this desk is pretty damm strudy. I dont think there were corners cut on this. Its going to last me a long time as far as i can tell. It even comes with spare parts and such. And everything fits nicly and tight and doesn't feel like cheap materials.
