geil apparently makes their own memory chips
they are pretty good but usually need more voltage than the competition
i almost got some geil golden dragon but ended up getting mushkin

i'm sure the mem can run at rated speed if not then i would rma it

I've heard good things about the golden dragon and EL for nforce2 boards. Everything else from Geil seems to be crap.

I've got 2x256MB of GEIL DDR400-SDRAM and I am able to set the memory timings at 5-2-2-2.0 at 2.9v but when I got 512MB of Corsair I had to drop the timings to 5-3-3-2.0. GEIL rocks!!! I highly recommend it.:)
