So I do some repairs on a friends Mercedes and he gives me his old video card (GeForce 7950GX2) in return. I currently own a 5+ yr old PC that I'm about to upgrade the MB, CPU, and power supply. I currently own a ancient 64mb Geforce4 vid card. Is this 7950 worth holding onto for awhile, or should I go ahead and invest in a newer card?
Thanx
Pyle

Depends, how much you are willing to spend on a new one and what you will be using it for?

It's still a great card. The only cards you could think of updating to that would make any sense would be the 8800GTS 512, the GTX and the 8800 Ultra.

Not even that, the GTS 512 negates the need for a GTX/Ultra as seen in AT's review 'the 8800GT the only card that matters'.

Sure, it's a strong card... Unless you can sell it for over $200. Then see above posts.
