GeForce4

heheh...I got a WHOPPIN 4MB onboard vid. on a crappy emachines (dad bought it, when i told him not to...), Voodoo3 3000 on a pentium 1 166, FireGL on dual Xeon500's and GF3 on my main machine
but, your GF4 could prolly kick the butt all of my cards combined.......🙁

I guess I should mention It's the big boy. GeForce4 Ti 4600. Flinches not.🙂
Sorry, SSP, can't give up my GeForce3 for free. But it is for sale😀

I just upgraded from a Voodoo 3 2000 to a Geforce 2 GTS-V... Im not a gamer, but it was a good cheap upgrade. Guess Im behind 😉

I have a 128 MB GF3 Ti 200 (Gainward Golden Sample no less), if I get 225/500 out of it I'll be happy.

Should be a little faster than my Matrox G450 for games. I think I'll play 1600x1200 just because I can.

😀

my plan is to get a Ti200 and overclock to near Ti500 speeds if possible.. should be a great low cost upgrade that will keep me going for 6-9 months.
the 4600 is an absolute total rip off and the price is not justifiable at all.

you could have a freekin console system and some for the price of those things, the price is definately not justified by the performance increase. I still run games pretty well with my $35 geforce 2 mx.

The Gainward Golden Samples seem to be pretty... well, golden. 😉 The 64 MB is about $20 less than the 128, & they seem to pretty consistently hit near Ti 500 levels. For $176 shipped I suspect mine will kick ass. And if it doesn't, I'll simply replace it with a GF4.

😀

Viper GTS

1) Turn on CoolBits
2) Reboot
3) Crank the slider to the right

It's that simple.

The rest I leave up to you.

ok so i turn on cool bits and all, and i check my settings and my mem is at 400 and clock is at 175... these settings aren't stock, are they? how much more can i safely go? i'll mainly use this for gaming, like cs, S.O.F., etc... the usual

man, and i only recently upgraded to geforce2-gts v
but i upgraded from my voodoo3
i don't play first person shooter games. i keep going back to diablo 2 and i'm gonna start playing starcraft again...so i don't really need the 3d power of a geforce4
i'm a happy camper

Yes, that is stock for a regular Ti 200. Start by slowly upping the memory, maybe 10 MHz at a time until you crash it. Then back it off until it's stable.

Then do the same to the core speed, while leaving the memory speed alone.

waiting for R300 , R300 Max, or Geforce 5 before i fork over any more dough

already am very satisfied with my R8500

new drivers kick arse 🙂

<<<what are you going to do with your G3?>>>

I'm going to attempt to sell it.

I actually paid $243 for the GeForce4 shipped. Sorry guys, one time deal.
Sometimes you get lucky and my time is now.😉
