GeForce4 Ti4600 for $219 at Best Buy!

I'd call this one HOT!

BFG Technologies Asylum GeForce4 Ti 4600 128MB DDR AGP Graphics Card at a local Best Buy is $219.95 which has to be a price mistake because the Ti4400 by the same manufacturer right beside it on the shelf is $229.95. I had them check the computer and it came up as $219.95! The same card is $299 on the BB website. Check your local stores!

LINK TO $299 PRICE

EDIT - sorry, the $50 isn't a MFG MIR as I thought it was. The $50 was a CompUSA only deal, but still, $219 for a 4600 and stack a 10% BB coupon will put this under $200!

For $219 I would rather get the 9500 and not have to deal with a Best Buy rebate. If you can hold off a few months the 9500 should drop down some along with the 9700 Pro.

This isn't a price mistake. Its a pre-emptive price match to CompUSSR, who has the card for $219 after $80MIR. Its the same deal for thee 9700pro, which is now marked down to $349 b/c of CUSSR. I posted a deal about the 9700pro, but no one thinks a $315 Radeon 9700pro is hot I guess.

Stack on a 10% coupon and get this card for < $200.

edit : Where's the $50 rebate? Advertised, online? If there is a $50 MIR for this card it would be very hot....$150 for a GF4 Ti4600.........add on some GC's from the holidays and make it even sweeter.

The rebate is at Compusa...simply buy the card there and go back and pricematch to Best Buy....should work.....$169 TI4600....

Now that's a deal!!! Good work 🙂

So let's see if I'm getting this straight. Take a 10% off coupon to Best Buy and pick the card up for $219.99 - 10% = ~$198. Then take the receipt to Compusa and pricematch it there and send in the $50 rebate. Then return the other one to Best Buy. Total would be $148 + tax. Is that the best way to do this and will it even work? I think the only snag would be getting Compusa to match the price after the 10% off coupon.

No. It sounds like BB has already PM'd CUSA for $219. Tell CUSA to PM BB straight up. Get your price to $219 w/out any rebates and buy from CUSA. Then use their rebate to get it for ~$150 including tax.

I really can't stand Compusa rebates. Given the choice between a $50 rebate from Compusa or a $22 10% off coupon from best buy, I think I'd rather take the savings up front. Either way though, it's still a pretty good deal. These cards probably won't drop in price for another 3-4 months.

Was just at BB in East Lansing, MI and I did notice the $219 4600, but no $50 MIR. In any case I think i'm waiting for 9500PRO to come in at newegg.

The $50 isn't at BB, its CompUSA. But since BB has essentially matched the CUSA AR price, you can have CUSA PM to BB. So essentially you'd get that $50 rebate 2x. One would be an IR, the other would be an MIR.

any of your worstbuy have the ati 9500 pro for 219.99 in stock? i went to four bestbuy searching for the ati 9500, but none of them have it in stock.

Nope...didn't even see the price tag on the shelves (3 diff. BBs). Haven't seen a retail 9500pro on store shelves other than CompUSSR, which does you no good since I'm sure you're looking to use a 10% coupon and maybe a few GC's 🙂

Just an FYI for those of you wandering the wilds of Worst Buy, many locations still have the card tagged on the shelves as $299, but if you ask them to punch it into the computer it comes out at the $219 price, I was even told that according to the computer, the reason for the price adjustment is "market reaction" which to me says "let's bone CompUSA in the tail". The sale price is apparently also only good through this Saturday at Best Buy if that guy is to be believed.

Will be venturing into the wilds of a CompUSA shortly to do the swap if I'm not too hungover tomorrow.

yeah market reaction is price matching.
unfortunately, there is no way to know how long market reaction prices last.

if you ever shopped for a major appliance at BB you probably ran into market reaction prices - poor BB employees working there, the prices change nearly everyday, and sometimes multiple times in a day. fun stuff working there i've heard.

CompUSA has it for $289.xx with a $50 rebate. I'm sure they would PM to the 219.xx at BB, and still give you the $50 rebate. Now, is everyone clear on this now?

They may also have the Visiontek Xtasy (much the same card), for $229, assuming you can find any in stock. If not, I'll sell you the one I just bought for that price, plus the tax, of course. You even get the sales receipt!

ummm... how did u get it for 190 before rebates at compusa?

Regular price: 300
- IR 30

270 before the 50 dollar rebate

Went to a local CompUSA that actually has a Best Buy right across the parking lot, though I bought my initial BB card 15 miles away.

The wormy little CS of an assistant sales manager wormed out of the PM to BB, saying they were only authorized to PM to the one across the parking lot, and he called them and said they were out of stock, even though I had the receipt in hand and the card in the car.

Not real surprised that CompUSA pulled a scumbag to try to dodge the PM, $219's still a damn good price for this card. I said the hell with it and dropped my BB purchased card into my rig, boosted my DAoC performance a lot, now to get the CPU and mobo to back it up.

CompUSA's apparently known for being the biggest bags of squish in the business about trying to dodge PMs.

Take the card back to the Best Buy across the parking lot, then see if one of the Best Buy blokes in the computer section will help you out and hold onto your returned card so they can verifiy they DO have a card in stock when the A$$ at C-USA calls them. Stick it to that idiot!

Quasi-OT -- does the BFG card come with ramsinks, or is it cooled by just the Blue Orb?

Consider the cost of adding ramsinks when determining whether this is a good deal for you.
