GeForce4 Ti 4600 PNY or VisionTek

JZ1,

Welcome to the forums bud 🙂 Use the search feature as it will reveal more info than you care to know about these cards. Anyhow, I would take a wild stab here that the Visiontek card is the most popular of the two.

I just bought the PNY 4600 from mwave today. Its like night and day form my old GF 2 GTS 64MB. The card is great. It looks really cool too. I would go for whichever one you can get a better deal on as all the 4600's are the same for the most part.

i dont get what the difference could possibly be. nevermind they both have lifetime warranty.

get the cheaper one. tahts what i'd do.

They're basically the same. For me, I'm pretty sold on Visiontek products. I've bought five different Visiontek cards over the course of the last year (one GF2 MX200, two GTS-Vs', one GF3, and one GF4 ti4600). The ti4600 overclocks very well (not that it needs it) and has excellent image quality.

Visiontek's quality is getting better and better. The only thing I don't like about them is that the price is getting higher and higher as well, now that they've become so prominent.

I just bought the Visiontek after much research, and so far I haven't had any problems with it...although I haven't gotten to play with it much as I am still trying to get my RAID configuration to work. 🙁

All the employees at the local computer store where I purchased my card really loved it, so I would say that it is a very good card.

Yes, the Visiontek has VIVO by way of an adaptor. However, in their rush to get the product to market, they left out the adaptor and put in a coupon for the adaptor and a free t-shirt. No big deal though, as you can fill out an online form and you should get the adaptor in 6 weeks (I hope!)

good choice. Visiontek makes very good cards, and they have tech support that speaks an english you can understand. And a lifetime warranty
