Does anyone know where I can get a geforce4ti 4200 128 mb. Can I get it at say a best buy, circuit city, or comp usa.
 
I saw one on the bottom shelf in the corner at the Best Buy in Countryside, IL (if that helps at all 🙂). Why don't you call the stores around you and ask what they have?
 
If you don't mind used, some good bargains in the ForSale/ForTrade forum here, fairly safe if you buy from someone with a high "Heatwarew" rating.

Otherwise, newegg.com

If you must buy locally, you might have to settle for a $200 fx5700 instead (review at top of the main Anandtech page).

it doesn't have to be a high heat rating. If people only buy from others with a high heatrating than it'd be too hard for n00bs like me to establish themselves


And iono on the 5700FX- the ti4200 is ~100 and i'm assuming that is his target budget.
