Geforce4 and VIVO question

Initially I was going to purchase MSI's Geforce4 Ti4400-VTD (with VIVO etc.) for $210 from newegg, but they did not have it in stock. I figured for a little extra, I would get the full card. Now they do not stock the card. The Champion edition without VIVO is $182. Since I have not used it before but thought it might be a good addition. Am I wasting time and money on something not worth the trouble. Is the "video in" any good or should I just add a TV Tuner card later?
