Aiight, enpc.com has a PNY Geforce3 Ti-200 (the GF3 MX) for preorder at $249. A basic reference GF3 can be had for as low as $280 right now, and the Ti-200 won't ship until October 10th. Now I know that preorder prices are always higher than the final retail, but this still seemed a bit too high. Preorders for the Radeon 8500 are at $289 right now, and I believe the 8500 will be faster than the Ti-200. The GF3 Ultra/Ti-500 shows up at $399 for preorder at the same site, but a Radeon 8500DV can be preordered for $419 (the 8500 may be a tad slower but it has MANY more features, and Firewire to boot!)

Whaddya think the final price on both cards will be?

Dunno about the price, but if the Ultra wants to be competitive it had better go down some. Figure that the Radeon 8500 will undoubtedly be faster than it was in the preview. it more than likely will be faster than the standard GF3, and probably close to if not as fast as the Ultra. So if the Ultra is costing like $100 more for a card that is the same speed as or only slightly faster than a card with a few more features, why get it unless you are a hardcore nvidiot?
