well, I planned on doing an entire driver comparison for the Ultra.
However, just in the last week, I've seen 3 of them that seem to indicate the only real difference for the Ultra in overall framerate is in 3dm2k and 2k1, so no biggie, eh?

I'm going to redo the Serious Sam benches tho (yes, all of them!) because Reverend has put up an excellent couple of scripts, of which I used the "Beyond Extreme".

It was far less stressful than what I had, but I probably didn't have it "optimized" either

You know what I want to see - high res/high detail GLQuake, Quake2, Quake3 and Unreal (original) benchmarks.

Hell, I'm studying for my MCSE, I just sit here next to the computer with my book open studying, and run the demos. Very easy. 🙂

UP a config for GLQuake bro and I'll do it.

I tried demo1, and got over 400 fps, but that was completely untweeked, just GLQUAKE right otu of the box @ 1024


Also, bump the W98 benches. W2k rules. 🙂


 
I did the no TC, DXTC1, DXTC3 tests when I had that Pro card. It did make a little difference on my system.

To enable/disable, I just changed
seta r_ext_compressed_textures to 0 or 1

For DXTC1 or 3, I changed that reg entry.

BFG, I'm gonna yank this Ultra in a second here...get me that glquake script so I can run it on the ultra....
