Geforce3 coolbits problem

Im using 12.41 drivers...and I have tried the hack about using an older drivers Nvcpl.dll but when i reboot..and look in settings...my adapter is the old one i dont even have in my computer. Riva TNT2 ULTRA...whut could be the reason for this problem to occur?...im not getting the disable Vsync option..and my fps wont go past 100..doh..plz help

a couple of things.

first, it sounds like you have some dated garbage in your registry... if you really want to fix the problem reload your system or hack the registry.

second, the 12.60 beta drivers are available and coolbits works in that release, some folks have reported performance gains on that driver version.

what does breaking 100 fps have to do with your gaming enjoyment? I am curious about this.

well..i did look in registry for any sign's of riva garbage...didnt find anything..and as for 100fps...higher frames can give you an edge in multiplayer games, but lagging can also. id rather be clean

Boot into safe mode(depending on your OS) & look in DevMgr under Display adapters. Remove any old(ie TNT2 Ultra) adapters & reboot...
