Say, what are you guys using to overclock yours? Powerstrip?

I got mine the other day--they delivered it in just two days--and it is really, really fast. Of course, I was using a Voodoo 2000 before, so anything seems fast by comparison. I'm very satisfied with it. I hope it will last me two years. Probably not, though.

Oh no! Out of stock now. Anyone pick one of these up and want to sell it to me please?? Or I can do a trade-in with my 2 month old Elsa Gladiac G2 gts 32mb. I really would like to have tv out and 64mb would help a lot for rendering with my cadd programs, and yes help for some games too :). If anyone would be intersted please email at mastarecoil@home.com.

Thanks
Garrett.

This is hardly a bargan. You guys are gonna be mad when the Geforce3 comes out and the G2 Ultra's drop to around $200. Just wasting your money buying a g2 pro right now.

I don't think the ultra's are going to drop to $200 just like that. The Geforce 3 will probably come out at $499 at the least. It's going to take a month or so for the price to drop to $425. In the mean time the Geforce 2 ultra will proabably stay around $300 and will drop to $275 after a month. That's my best guess. These prices are not retail, they are street prices/oem's. Anyway, you can always just fleb@y this card once the ultra's/NV20's start to drop. Also, Nvidia keeps delaying the NV20 release date. It's now in about 3 weeks from now. Cards probably won't be available until mid march. They are aparently ironing out some last minute details.

Hey fallengod, good point - NOT. The Ultra's aren't going to be at $200 for quite a while, and for those who want to OC a Pro to Ultra levels right now, this is a screaming deal IMHO.

Ok... Right now, ANYTHING is better than my STB TNT 4400 (original of course):)!!!
I waited for the TNT 2... for the TNT 2 Ultra, and after that for the Geforce. So I figured "why not wait for the Geforce 2 GTS"?... Do you think I'll wait for the GF3???

I always said to my friends that my TNT(1) was fast enough... But now, I wanna have something
that is gonna push my 19" FP950 to it's recommended Resolution. Enough with the 640X480!

So... I did it, BUY, BUY, BUY! :D

For the price, I can always resell it on "he Bait".

Are you crazy? Get a Geforce2 MX for a $100, you'll never know the difference and you'll be $100 richer!

At high resolutions you will definitly see a difference. I actually like turning everything on and running max resolution, which I can actually do in most games with this card.

Hey XRdirtHead, the card is sweet! I've had it running for several hours a day, playing Q3 lots, and it performs great.

I went from a celeron 866 with a voodoo5 to a athlon 1.2 with the geforce 2 pro. The new system is definitely faster. UT runs about 10fps with d3d at 1280x1024 32, compared to the old system with glide 1280x1024 16 bit. The only difference is that the voodoo has very nice fsaa. I haven't played around with the fsaa on the geforce 2 pro. Quake 3 runs at 1600x1200 32 very smoothly. Giants looks better and runs nicely too at 1600x1200 32. I haven't tried any other games yet, nor have I overclocked my system or the card yet. I'm using the 6.5 nvidia reference drivers. The card came with the 6.47's. If you have any questions just ask.

Can anyone clarify all the different Pro models that Newegg has on their site. I think I understand, but I don't want to get something and it not really be a GF2 Pro. It seems that there's some monkeying around with the names, memory speed and chip set and Newegg carries many different flavors such as MSI, Gigabit, Leadtek plus bigger brands such as Elsa and Hercules (Guillemot). Any thoughts?

I'm thinking of picking one up but I was just wondering how much of a difference there could be between this card and say and Elsa or a Creative....

This Inno3D card is completely based on nvidia reference design, unlike a slightly modified PCB for ELSA or creative or hercules. As far as I know, any revisions of the same speed grade of Geforce 2 gives you pretty much the same speed. You can check the various Geforce 2 shootouts in review sites.

And for your reference, using this card, I am getting 9000+ 3DMark2000 (default benchmark) on a Athlon 1.4G. Q3 demo2 @ 1024 high quality setting gives me 130 fps, demo1 gives 125 fps.

If you want futher details on my system setup, just click on the link below.

Hope this info helps...

ticoalu, see one of my posts above. I listed the content inside my box. (in short, yes they do include the S-video to RCA adapter and I have been using it since)
