Went in today and got the card. While looking at the flyer I found an Adaptec Firewire "FireConnect 4300" card for $9.99 AMIR. The flyer said $29.99 with a $20 MIR, but the shelf price was $49.99. It rang up ok so this was the right one. The price on Adaptec's website is $39.99. Adaptec
Got one when I had to RMA my old GeForce 4200 to Gainward. (Gotta love those 3 year warranties!!!). Needed to have a card to tide me over for a couple weeks, for $9.99, this fits the bill. and it will give me a test card in my build system.
is this as good or better than a Geforce 2 GTS 32mb?

No, I don't think so. I think the GF2 GTS can out-perform this card. GTS has the Infinion 5.5ns DDR memory chips. I have one. This card has SDRAM. Well, the argument is moot anyway, because it is sold out.
U can play doom 3 on this card!? Some benchmarks please! I really doubt u can play this at even 30 fps with everything off. My friend's gf4mx420 could BARELY play it, and not even smoothly.

I have a p4 2.4 ghz, 512mb ram, gf2 pro (better than gf2 mx400), and i only got 10 fps on the fps test in doom 3.. (everything in the gfx options menu turned to the lowest possible.. and 640 x 480)
I highly doubt this card will do any better..
if you run the fps test, i bet you'll get lower than 10 fps heh
