Is There Any Difference Between Setting The Refresh Rate To Default Or Optinal?Because The Only Way I Can Play Games Like Q3 Or Motocross Madness Or Games Like That,Is By Setting it To Adapter Default. If I Set It To Optimal,When I Start The Game,The Screen Goes Black,But i Still Have Sound.DFI AK70 Motherboard With Latest Drivers,And I Am Using Nvidia Drivers Version 5.32.

Thanks In Advance,
Bryan

This sound like a driver issue what drivers are you using? also what motherboard do you have?I`ve a MX & it works fine on optimal setting with my drivers.

best idea would be to check your monitors max refresh rate at a certain resolution and pick a custom refresh rate near to that.

i.e: I have a Belinea 17" Triniton screen, at 1024x768 it runs at a max of 117hz, I currently run it at 100hz and the picture quality is quite good.

Optimal - Ewwwwww. Just pick 85 hz or something. Dont use default or optimal. Not postive about this but as I understand it, anything about 75hz is A-OK. What its doing is trying to refresh too fast and your monitor cant handle the refresh rate so it is going out of sync.

60Hz is the cut off line. If you run you monitor at 60Hz after a while your eyes will really start to hurt. (Or when the jackass admins at my school run 640x480 on 17" monitors and then disable display properties)

I forgot to Mention getting latest Monitor drivers sometimes improves display problems.
