Geforce2 GTS is somtimes laggy? why..

When i am playing UT somtimes the grahics get very laggy, like very low fps, look at my system in my sig, i dont think it should lag any ideas why?

I am running on win2k is that why?
 

Are you using DirectX? If so, that's probably your problem... you should see how choppy MW4 is on my system.

Get the latest detonator drivers (7.something)... or try running UT under OpenGL.
 
are you overclocking the video card's memory or chip? sometimes this can lead to mishaps in performance, degrading it rather than increasing it.
 
I agree, you should definately switch you resolution to 1024x768, first.

What kind of FPS are you getting and in what situations?
