I doubt it's OEM... I don't think Buy.com sells many OEM products outside hard drives.

Never heard of gigabyte though....??

Anyone know the quality of Giga-byte brand videocards? I've had my eye on the Elsa Gladiac GTS, and Im curious as to how this stacks up. I'd probably still go with the Elsa card because of the VIVO card, but some of my friends are look for a new videocard as well.

Gigabyte makes really good video cards. I would put the quality easily at or above elsa. If you want the vivo option though your kinda stuck.

First and foremost, DONT RELY ON GETTING A VIVO MODULE FOR YOUR ELSA... it's just not happening.. no stores have it, it's never available, so just dont rely on getting it any time soon..

As in regards to the cards, how much difference could there really be? considering all of them use the same chipset,? wouldn't it just be minimal to the human eye? And, besides GiGa-byte, what other company produces different colored PCBs for their video cards?

Damn, I was kinda hoping for one of those, but it wasn't a big deal. I basically wanted to watch DVD's on my TV, as I sold my old Hollywood Magic DVD card. But as soon as my refund check this the band, Im there. Btw, where is the link or info for the $30 coupon?

I just ordered one. I had to called in to use the coupon. The lady said they will usually charge for the full price amount and then credit back the $30 back to the credit card.

Just hope she right

This is a good deal, lowest price on the gts 32 mb iv seen. Now if it comes with tv out this is a super hot deal. I just ordered a leadtek because it had tv-out for 172. The leadtek has been proven to be the fastest and most able to overclock. If you dont need tv out the gigabyte for 132 is deffinatly the way to go.

Giga-byte is actually known to have fairly good cards. But i've heard some stories of people having some problems with the GTS...shrug, i'd still buy it though if i didn't already have one

Coopa: I had them both and thought they were very equivalent, and I ordered the Elsa VIVO module a while back straight from them and received relativley quickly.

I don't know why everyone wants the Gladiac and tried to find the module. the Asus Deluxe sells for 215 and has a good review from Anand including the fact that it uses better TV chips than most cards, and it has Composite and Svideo for both input and output. Much better deal than the Gladiac. Also, I just spoke to Leadtek recently and they will be releasing a Enhanced version of the 32MB card that will come with both composite and svideo output (the current 32MB GTS only has svideo) the LEDs on board, better cooling, and 5.5 ns RAM. This makes the newer Leadtek card almost a Geforce Pro and will probably perform the same, but will most likely be priced below 200. That's why the 32MB Leadtek is so cheap right now, they are discontinuing it. For a card without TV features, this Gigabyte sounds like a great deal and it got good build quality remarks on a couple sites. Only problem will be if you try and trade up in a few months to a big boy card like the Pro or NV20, since your card won't have many features. Anyone know if the Gigabyte can accept some sort of VIVO module ? It seems most people based on reference can accept one of the manufacturers Vivo modules ..

All GeForce 2 GTS cards use the same reference architecture from Nvidia, so its really a matter of price, type of RAM used, and any extras you may want in addition to the card (VIVO, etc). Gigabyte is a pretty good company, so I would trust their products.
