Hi All,
I have a Hercules GeForce 2 Ultra and for the first time yesterday I touched the heatsinks... OUCH! I didnt replace the heatsinks that came with it so those nifty looking blue ones are still on. Also, is that a blue orb on the GPU (looks like it)? What (if any) hatsinks should I use for the ram on the board? Or are they supposed to be hot? I don't really want to add another fan to the sustem. Trying to keep it quiet.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Oh, and, where (if) should I get the heatsinks?

I suppose it is good that they are hot, instead of the RAM being hot. I don't really know. You would probably be
better off leaving the current ones alone, unless you want to buy some thermal epoxy. I was going to do this,
but I cannot justify making an order for $9 that has $7 shipping. I know plycon.com has arctic silver thermal epoxy,
but I am sure someone will mention a place that is cheaper....

I suggest you put a slot fan (also called a system fan) right under the video card. That will help a little. Mine is
always blowing hot air out the back of the case, so I know it does SOMETHING.
I know you can get thermaltake RAMsinks atnewegg for $10 for 2, with 2 heatspeaders for your RAM as well.
Basically, get 2 kits if you have a 64meg card, and you will have enough heatspeaders for 2 sticks of RAM.
