whats the best way to overclock a geforce 3 beyond the max that coolbits will let you select (220/500)? i used to use some tool, but can't remember what it was... Oh, and anything like powerstrip that must run all the time is no good. i don't like having lots of stuff running in the systray

everything i search on google turns up some foreign site or a review of overclocking that doesn't mention what they used

Thats simple.... call it a Radeon 9700 Maxx, do some 'minor' modifications to the PCB, change the drivers over to the Catalyst 3.0's, install DX9, and away you go, 17,843 3DMarks. 🙂

Magnumike7, thanks I'll try it.

Alkali, I don't need to pay more than $200 for a vid card. I'll plunk down 2g for a monitor, but I don't game enough to get a faster vid card. I just wanna see what I can get out of my Ti200.

Nothing is wrong with using coolbits, but it won't let you go higher than 220 core and 500 memory. i wanted to see how high i could get it

Very smooth, way to rub your nice score in the faces of the rest of us 😉

Anyway Jasons, I have had great luck with my Ti4200, I am running at 300/650 right now. It is still the best bang for the buck card out there, although the 9500 pro is starting to look good with DX9 support.

Powerstrip -Fixes refresh rate problem for all drivers... always has. Is a must for people using dual monitor with HDTV. And it supports OC'ing!
