Before you flame my computer, I would just like to say that I already ordered a new one and its on its way. (My family would let me build one citing my impatience and knack of leaving things unfinished) Anyways, a friend of mine gave me a Geforce MX 420 a while ago (I know they are dung), however I thought I might try it out on my old ABS system, which has a 32mb ATI Rage Fury SG TV in it. Anyways, if i remember correctly (I tried this like a month ago) I uninstalled the drivers, switched the cards and booted up the machine in vga mode. I remmeber getting to the spot where I install the new drivers but cant remember exactly what happened next. Anyways not sure this matters ( I dont really want to try again at the moment) but eventually all I get are a few beeps from the machine and my monitor an ADI Microscan doesnt detect a signal. Sorry for being vague. I can try again and give a more detailed description, if necessary. The card does say it needs a 350watt psu however mine is only in the 200s somewhere (maybe 75 maybe 40 or something) Could this be my problem? Any insight would be great thanks!
