I dont really want to overclock my video card. I know I should be getting higher than this. Any tips/tweaks or anything to help i apreciated. Please dont post saying that Benkmarks dont matter.

The link works because you submitted the results. When others click it all they get is a login screen or, if they haven't run the 3dmark2k1 on their machine they get a screeen that says they need to submit results.

You're pretty close. All the Geforce 3 reviews I've seen run 3dmark2k1 around 5400 on 1.4ghz t-birds.

It doesn't seem a million miles away. It may just be down to the Driver u are using. I don't know which version would be best for Win2K, but that could lose you 200 to 300 points. That would make it 5000, 5100 which seems right. I would try other drivers. i'm using 12.90 for WinME as they yield the best results for me.

First, I assume you have the ALI drivers installed? You have a 1647 northbridge and 1535d southbridge. Without these, your AGP (northbridge) and IDE (southbridge) performance will really, really suck, as your system will think you have an Intel chipset installed.

Second, I am guessing you have your monitor set at 75Hz? If so, your frame rates will NEVER go above that until you shut off vsync. Look at your drivers for that.

Third, 12.90's are the fastest drivers out there for 3dmark2001 (and for most other things too). Download them here.

Fourth, almost everyone overclocks their vid card for the 3dmark test. If you haven't, you need to. I assume you know about the coolbits registry entry? If not, go
here.

Btw, you DON'T want the "certified" drivers. In order to get certified, you can't disable vsync, among other tweaking stuff. These are basically drivers that have been crippled by Nvidia to get MS certified.
