I'm seriously thinkging about getting a GF2. But I've read/heard of there being problems with the chipsets on the mobo.? What kinda problems are there exactly? Is there a perfomance hit??? I'm currently using a G400 32MB SH and its just not cutting it anymore. I want higher rez/better quality. Anyone got links for Benchmarks on a system like mine running a GF2?

Also, what brand is *better*? I don't care about default clock speeds cuz I'll oc it anyway. Which one is better at ocing?

Ack, sorry bout the double post!

I have a K7M and a Geforce2 MX...the only problem I have is that I have to use Powerstrip to get it to run at AGP2x.
So you will probably have the same problem with a GTS!

i am running a phophet II on a K7M mobo,
No problems.
if i force the AGP to run @ x2 it Locks up.

I was running a Asus 6800 before i bought my GtS and that ran at 2xAgp With NO Problems.

Maybe its a driver problems with the 6.xx.

The differents between 1x and 2x AGP est. around 2 to 5 frames/sec
when running demo001 w/ everthing Maxed.

Ok, thats what I wanted to know. :)

I don't think that 2-5 fps hit would be to bad for the gain I'd get over what I have now.

BTW, what you guyz getting for FPS w/ your setups? Prefferably at maxed out settings. 10x7 @ 32bit textures and color.
